BACKGROUND:
The Vail Local Housing Authority, acting in partnership with the Vail Town Council, contracted the consulting services of Summit Information Systems and Magellan Strategies to conduct a Vail Community Housing Survey. The purpose of the survey was two-fold: 1) to measure and understand the general opinions of the Vail community regarding the availability of housing and awareness of ongoing town policies and programs to address the housing need, and 2) to measure general support for a potential tax initiative to establish a permanent and consistent funding source for town-sponsored housing programs.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Please refer to the memorandum dated June 18, 2019 for the recommendation from town staff.
