| | | | | | | | ACTION REQUESTED OF COUNCIL: Approve, approve with amendments, or deny Ordinance 7, Series of 2018 upon second reading.

| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: The purpose of Ordinance No. 7, Series of 2018 is to clarify that compliance with Section R302.1 of the International Residential Code when reviewing and constructing two-family dwellings (duplexes) with known lot lines that separate the units along the shared wall. Projections such as roof eaves, doors, windows and other openings are strictly prohibited by this section of the code. The practice of subdividing these properties is commonplace and this Ordinance allows for continued design and construction of these residential structures as has been the practice for many years.
Ordinance No. 7, Series of 2018 was unanimously Approved (6-0) on First Reading with no changes.
