| | | | | | | | ACTION REQUESTED OF COUNCIL: The Vail Town Council shall approve, approve with modifications, or deny Ordinance No. 17, 2018, Series of 2018, upon first reading.

| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: The building codes are updated on a three year cycle after an extensive code development process in which all interested and affected parties may participate. This allows for the codes to stay current with the continually changing laws and technology that affect the construction industry.

| | | | | | | | STAFF RECOMMENDATION: On September 20, 2018 the Building and Fire Code Appeals Board, forwarded a unanimous recommendation, for approval, for the adoption of the 2018 building codes.
